Read by William Shakespeare Shatner, as it was intended to be... poetry.
Preserved for posterity... gotcha.
Guess they'll be taking the ole motor home to Disneyland next? That should get them there in time for the Aug. 8 date with the Simi Valley Women's Club at the Reagan Museum. |

Palin to join Fox News as commentator, occasional host

WASHINGTON - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will join Fox News as a contributor, the network confirmed today.
Palin is expected to provide political commentary and analysis for a number of Fox properties, including Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, FoxNews.com and special event political programming for Fox Broadcasting. That means she'll be on a number of shows, the network said.
In a statement provided by Fox, Palin said she was "thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."
The network didn't disclose how much the multiyear deal is worth.
She also will host periodic episodes of the cable news channel's "Real American Stories," a new series the network describes as "exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape." The series is expected to debut this year. It will be produced from New York, meaning Palin will be spending much of her time on the East Coast. |

Palin's palm reading:
| Quote: |
Mrs Palin was shown reading from her hand and displaying the scribbled notes after she had made the address.
She had spoken in the speech of a "charismatic guy with a teleprompter", apparently meaning President Obama.
Mrs Palin received a standing ovation for the speech as she called for a "return to conservative principles".
But a photo taken during a question-and-answer session after the speech showed her left hand with the words "energy", "budget cuts", "tax" and "lift Americans' spirits". The word "budget" had been crossed out.
Also, video footage showed her seemingly reading from her hand when asked what top three things a conservative-led Congress should do. |

I've got to hand it to the sharp photographer who got that picture.
So, let me see, Obama is just a "charismatic guy with a teleprompter."
And Palin's just this 10th grader cheating on her civics exam?
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. |

I'm starting to think Colbert does a better job than Stewart at nailing people.
Along with the flip-flop on using retard, Palin should be done. |

There's no doubt that he does. In addition to the fact that frankly he's wittier than Stewart, there's also the fact that his style is pretty no holds barred. Stewart usually sticks to the absurd, while Colbert is willing to get outright mean at times (e.g. calling Sarah Palin a fucking retard in response to her defense of Rush Limbaugh's use of the word). |

Boy, I'll tell ya, both Stewart and Colbert were scorching tonight.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#35957206
And they didn't even mention Palin.
However, you don't have to be a professional comedian to mine this gold.
Palin, for some reason*, was in central Florida to speak against a local Democrat:
| Quote: |
Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, ventured to the Florida district of Rep. Alan Grayson on Friday, and urged voters to oust the Democratic lawmaker.
"Do it for the rest of America," she said in a speech to the Orange County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day fundraiser. She claimed to have such strong feelings about Grayson that she declined to get into specifics to avoid offending her children.
"Alan Grayson. What can you say about Alan Grayson?" Palin, the former GOP vice presidential nominee, asked the audience. "Piper is with me tonight, so I won't say anything about Alan Grayson that can't be said around children." |
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/15/palin-slammed-as-wild-ala_n_499387.html
Now that's one barn burner of a speech!
So Grayson posted a little retort on his website:
| Quote: |
Palin, the former half-term Governor, current-nothing and future-even-less, charmed the all-Republican audience with her folksy folksiness and her homespun homespunnery. Atypically, Palin was wearing clothes that she had paid for herself. At the end of the event, she shared her recipe for mooseface pie.
In response to Palin's attack on Rep Grayson, Grayson actually complimented Palin. Grayson praised Palin for having a hand large enough to fit Grayson's entire name on it. He thanked Palin for alleviating the growing shortage of platitudes in Central Florida. Grayson added that Palin deserved credit for getting through the entire hour-long program without quitting. Grayson also said that Palin really had mastered Palin's imitation of Tina Fey imitating Palin. Grayson observed that Palin is the most-intelligent leader that the Republican Party has produced since George W. Bush.
When asked to comment about what effect Palin's criticism might have, Grayson pointed out, "As the Knave's horse says in Alice in Wonderland, 'dogs will believe anything.'" Earlier, as the Orlando Sentinel reported, Grayson said, "I'm sure Palin knows all about politics in Central Florida, since from her porch she can see Winter Park," which is part of Grayson's district.
Grayson said that the Alaskan chillbilly was welcome to return to Central Florida anytime, as long as she brings lots of money with her, and spends it. "I look forward to an honest debate with Governor Palin on the issues, in the unlikely event that she ever learns anything about them," Grayson added, alluding to Politifact's "liar, liar, pants on fire" evaluation of much of what Palin has said .
Scientists are studying Sarah Palin's travel between Alaska and Florida carefully. They hope to learn more about the flight patterns of that elusive migratory species, the wild Alaskan dingbat. |

I wonder if Palin is planning to move to Florida and run for Congress? Or maybe governor?

Palin's firearms-themed rhetoric called dangerous

"RELOAD!" Sarah Palin shouted at right-wing supporters via Twitter on Tuesday after President Obama signed the House health care bill. On her Facebook page, she posted a U.S. map with crosshair targets in states where she's planning to campaign against moderate Democrats who voted in favor of the health insurance overhaul. "We'll aim for these races," she wrote, in the "first salvo" leading up to the midterm elections. A few liberal commentators don't find that kind of rhetoric amusing. |
Just a metaphor?
Is trying to kill someone by releasing gas into their home just a metaphor?

Gas lines severing at home of Perriellos brother prompts FBI probe
Federal and local authorities are investigating a severed gas line at the Albemarle County home of U.S. Rep. Tom Perriellos brother, discovered a day after Tea Party activists posted the address online, mistakenly believing it belonged to the freshman congressman.
Two members of the conservative Tea Party groups in Lynchburg and Danville posted the address on the Internet on Monday so opponents could drop by and express their thanks for Perriellos vote in favor of health care reform.
The family of Perriellos older brother, Bo, smelled gas Tuesday evening and found that someone had slashed the line connecting a propane tank to a gas-power grill on the homes screened-in porch, according to sources in the congressmans office.
The family also received a letter in the mail Tuesday that a spokeswoman for Perriello described as threatening. |

Former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized Sen. John McCain's 2008 decision to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate, saying Palin was not prepared to take over the presidency.
"That one I don't think was well handled," Cheney said. "The test to get on that small list has to be, Is this person capable of being president of the United States?"
|
| Quote: |
"I like Governor Palin," Cheney said. "I've met her. I know her. She attractive candidate. But based on her background, shed only been governor for, what, two years. I don't think she passed that test of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake."

| I can't help but think Cheyney is sending out the signal that when the revolt occurs just before (or during) the convention and the Party tries to dump Romney, that Palin is NOT the answer. |
