I posted the following in another thread, then noticed this one. Here it is:
I currently use Sirius satellite radio and Spingbox to watch my tv over here in Korea. I used to use these apps for watch/listen to the same things with my iPhone in the US. Does anyone know if these apps will work with an iPhone here in Korea? Thanks.

I don't use Sirius radio, but I do use the slingbox app on my Korean iPhone, it works great. |

How did you manage to download slingplayer mobile here? When I tried it said that it was not available in my location. Thanks. |

For all the ingenuity of Apple products, it amazes me how bad Itunes is. |
The windows version of Itunes does suck from what i saw before, but the mac version runs very smoothly.
By the way, does anyone know of an app that can count the length of SMS messages? I think i saw a link to one that was made specifically for korea but i can't remember where i saw it. |

If you've jailbroken it, then check out 'SMS Helper'. I installed it and it modifies the 'send' button to show the number of characters you've typed so far.
Speaking of this, an SMS is supposed to hold 160 characters but my iPhone switches to MMS well before that. Around 125 characters or so. Anyways, a great mod that Apple should have included in the first place. |

Use the Weather Channel app and set the city for the appropriate city in Korea. |

I have an iPod touch, but I jailbroke my ipod touch using blackra1n (google). Then I added Installous (google) ...then from the Installous menu you can essentially type in any paid app and get it for free. I watch slingplayer all the time as I get wi-fi at my school. |

hi, i was wondering, is there any way or any programs we can use so that we can delete individual caller info in the call log? i know you can clear all, but i would like the option of delteing individual ones.
also, are there any programs that you can use to ensure no-one can access your MMS (or any other application) without punching in a password. b/c right now i punch in a password and once i do that all the apps are available to open. i would like a two password system i guess.
i love this phone! |

I dont think you can do them individually. I just add the ones i call most often to my favorites and then i dont have to sift through all of it. |

there is a way to do it, but its a huge pain in the butt. Google it.
Basically, it entails backing up your phone via Itunes. Then editing the backup file call list, removing the entries you want. Then restoring your Iphone from the backup. |

Very happy that I found NPR yesterday. Now I can listen to "all things considered."
On another note, my university finally caved and installed I-phone/touch capability on the wifi network! |
