Ok, I got an offer from ESLPark for placement. This'll be my first time over and teaching, so I'm wondering if anyone out there knows anything about ESL Park, are they reputable, are they a fly by night, are they was helpful as the claim to be, Etc. Gimme the dirt, good and bad if anyone has anything. I'd greatly appreciate it, so as I don't get myself in a completely screwed type situation ya dig?

Thanks
P

Are they the outfit located across the street from Exit Number 7 of Gwanghwamun Station with the very intelligent and lovely-looking 28-ish or so Korean woman who speaks The King's English? If so, I'd like to encourage you to seek out their services. Really, you'd meet a lovely-looking and totally professional Korean woman who, in my opinion, could and should be President of this nation.

I should add that they tried to set me up with a decent gig. Alas, I went with E.P.I.K. Or, are they the outfit in Hannam-Dong, Yongsan-Ku, Seoul City? If so, be careful as they have a rep for selling or sending your private info to others. This corpulent thing also gave me the run-a-round back in 2008.

Sincerely,

DI

They're located at Dosan, Sung-dong, Seoul. So I don't know if that is either of yours?

I sent a recent application to them and was supposed to receive a call but it never came.

I'd worry less about the recruiter and concentrate on the schools they offer you. I worked with several recruiters, and the one I thought was sketchiest just got me what seems to be a very impressive job, especially for a first-timer. I was ready to write him off after the first job he found me, but I'm sure glad I didn't.

I wanted to say, my experience with them was very poor! Different recruiters, I am sure are different, but the recruiter I worked with was just bad.

I understand how recruiters work and I was basically just a sales figure. However, my recruiter was aggressive, rude and pushy! I told her, I was working with other recruiters and she changed her tone. I'm not sure if she lied to me or did not know how to communicate with the schools. The only time she would e-mail me back is when she wanted something. I could never get her to respond to me when I had important question, I understand you work with other people, but on subject line I had important! She also blew up my phone to ask me a dumb question. She called me 16 times in one hour from 2AM to 3AM. She also blamed me because my FBI background check had yet to come in, because I have control over that.

If you have any questions, feel free to msg me. Overall, I don't recommend anyone using ELS Park!

I take it you are female. (Your location says United States.) You are a prime candidate. (Most of us can't even get a response from recruiters.)

I'm male, also got called several times in an hour anytime I didn't respond to an email within 30 minutes. They were finding me very obscure and unattractive positions a lot of the time and the recruiter that was working with me occasionally argued or demanded explanation about why I didn't want interviews with some of her schools.

This was my experience though, but I do know their legit only on two occasions she offered me schools I was already interviewing for through another recruiter. Legit company that's just a tad but pushy.

Pushy? They want their 1,500,000 won commission, which is why they are trying to get you to accept a crap position- any position- ASAP.

World Traveler - wow, so much assuming, well yes they want their commission, I think that's a given. And no, I'm a male, not a female.

There must be something extremely desirable about you as a candidate then. That or they are trying to unload a blacklisted crap position on you (more likely). Why else would a recruiter call 16 times within a half hour time span?
