I'm tryin to ship my bicycle from ny, usa to seoul, korea. Has anyone had any experience with this..? much appreciated |

There was a guy on here that broke his down and checked it on the plane as extra baggage, he had no problems doing that. |

Yeah, I shipped over a Scott Nitrous SL22. US$5000 in Korea. Bought
it in USA online for US$2000. Shipping was about US$600 and duty
was about $400.
If your bike is used you may not pay duty at all. |

If your bike is that beloved and important to you, then you'd be wanting to ship it back home as well, right? Well if you're spending $600 shipping it here and then $600 shipping it home, that's $1200... I'm sure you could find a really good bike for 1.4 million won here in Korea... Just seems like a lot of work to me but it's none of my business I'm just curious as to your reasoning for needing your specific bike here. |

its a bmx frame so im hopin its not 600,, i'll be sending it from a home address as a used item so i dont think customs should gouge me. Which company did u use for ur nitro?

Shipping is going to kill you. $1000 is about right for shipping a bike from US to Korea. Shipping and handling, plus the duty they throw on it when it arrives. |
