It's older, I've had it since early 2007, but it works great.

I've used it on 5 continents: North America, Africa, Europe, Australia/NZ, and of course Asia (Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, China, Vietnam and a few others as well).

You don't need to sign up for any special service. You simply turn the phone on and it will automatically connect to the local network. You can send and receive text msgs, send and receive calls from local and international callers. And the price is actually really good. I've made many calls, txts, and it's never cost me more than 25,000 won with my travels sometimes lasting longer than a month.

excellent for travellers. It's been indispensable for me.

I have one guy who is interested that I met the other day, but am looking for a better offer.

I can't PM yet, but you can PM me. or post your offer.

1. Ok I give up, what is the offer that you want to do better than?

2. Indispensable means you can't do without it so why do you want to do without it?

It does seem like a good phone but I would want answers to these questions before further consideration.

The offer was 5 figures... you want more than 5 figures...

Therefore you want 6 figures? That's [Mod Edit].

That's what I mean.
I got a Samsung folding phone of about the same vintage.
It has built in roaming function for China and USA.

The original price was close to the same $500. price as that phone.
I looked around a place with a lot of phone dealers and one dealer offered to sell it for 70,000 won new in a box plus a free protective cover so I bought it.

Its nice and gold color.
I'll be happy to sell mine for five figures, 90,000 won.

The phone is worth 100,000 won. I'd be willing to sell it for a bit less. I've had a few offers so far. The initial I offer was a low ball offer from a drunk guy.

I've checked it out and similar phones that truly are roaming phones, like this one, sell used in various places for about 110-125,000.

If interested please PM or provide an email address, since I can't PM yet.

The phone is SK telecom.

I used to work for a cell phone company. It depends on the cell phone provider, kt, ktf, sk, lg.. ect.. they decide the roaming service. sk will not work in some areas whereas lg doesnt.. best to ask the service provider you plan to use your phone with about international roaming.

SK is the provider, as I've stated, and SK will tell you that the phone will work just about everywhere in the world with a reasonably advanced cell phone network.

Thus far: France, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Kuala lumpur, Bangkok, Tokyo, Australia, new zealand, Canada, America. I may be missing one or two.

In short, it works just about anywhere. If you're really concerned we can stop by an SK store/service centre. But as the links I provided detail, the phone was able to work in 80+ countries 3 years ago, and I think it must work in more than that now.
