I have looked everywhere for this answer. Can't get anything definitive.
Anyone know how much a Korean national can send out of Korea via bank transfer?

As long as its reasonable, I don't think there is a limit.

For example, if a Samsung Manager sends $100,000 overseas, it would seem reasonable and the banks won't care. If a 19 year old College freshmen sent the same amount overseas, I think there would be some problems.

Its all relative. Who's sending the money? Where is it going?

Sending a big chunk of cash to the US to a family member is a totally different situation than sending a big chunk of cash to Mohammad in Pakistan.

It's going to my bank acc. in New Zealand. My wife would be sending it.

Shouldn't be a problem. The only way it can be an issue is if your wife got a huge deposit into her account shortly before she is sending it to you.

If your wife can show proof that the money she's sending was obtained legally, then she should be able to send it without any trouble.

I'm pretty sure there are limitations. Your wife needs to contact her local tax office.

When sending out large sums, they often want to know a) where it came from, and b) where (and why) it's going.

For example, when we move overseas permanently, my wife needs to get official approval to send the bulk of our funds out of the country.
