Anyone bought one of these in Korea? Found a deal on one? I'm thinking about picking one up, but before I wander to yong-san, thought I'd see if anyone has experienced buying any here. |

I think the biggest thing you have to worry about is getting a crap battery.
I don't know about the replacement Iphone batteries. I bought a think pad T60 batteryu because I found a good deal. The battery lasted 3 months before it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. |

Oh, those things. If you can find a regular Korean Cell phone plug -> iphone adapter, then you can find a ton of those. Iphone specific models might be a little hard to come by.
I've read about Solar powered chargers being available. Also, RCA has the Airnergy that generates electricity from Wifi signals. |

The iphone is new here but the ipod touch has been here awhile and has been quite popular. I feel like there are probably more accessories and things here already because of that, but I don't know what brands might be available here. I'm not really interested in hunting down adapters. I've never seen those kinds of batteries for a korean phone. Everybody I know just carries a spare battery or plugs theirs in. |

I purchased a Griffin one that runs on four AAA batteries. It's convenient but the four batteries don't even charge the phone up 100%. So it's good in a pinch if you are desperate for power but bring lots of extra AAA batteries. |

I bought one of the macally ones. I've had my iPhone at around 20% charge and brought it to 90%. It is supposed to hold enough power to charge the iPhone at least two times. The brick has a usb port to plug the iPhone charger into. My one complaint would be that it won't hold its charge for long. Seems that after two days of sitting around, it needs to be charged again.
There is a new morphie juice pack that is supposed to not only charge your iPhone but also do TV. |

Brick? is it quite big? or is it like the one in the E-bay auction I linked to? I'd rather avoid carting around something huge. The one in the auction seems to be about the size I'd like to find. Something I could slip in a pocket/back, etc without adding significant weight. |

crossmr, I bought that exact same charger in Yonsan. Its located in the basement of this building: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/7082898 The store is on the left side if you enter under the cylinder building, has iPhone, iPod Touch parts in the window. They were around 25,000W each. I hope that helps |

Thanks. How's it work? That was just a random model I pulled up on a search as an example. Sounds like its good for about 1 more full charge is that what you get out of it? |

Its pretty good, definately not 15 hours of extra music, but more around 5-7 hours. Since it connects to your sync port, You can charge it between your iPod and power cord. |
