I hope it doesn't take over the Ebook market because it will not be a very good Ebook reader. I love my Sony Reader. E-ink is amazing. I think this looks like an interesting device, but a book reader it is not. |
Where do you get the books for the Sony? I doubt very much Sony has half the selection that Apple has. But if it's a better reader than the iPad then it's worth checking out... |

So far I have just found books on torrent sites I've got about 400 books on my device, but I've only read about 50. It's going to take me a long time to finish them all! |

People want the power of a computer in the size of their tablet. |
They know that... they're just gonna milk the early-adopters for all its worth.
Version 2.0 will have more speed
Version 3.5 better resolution
Version 4.0 dual core but slower clock speed
Version 4.5 a USB port and faster dual clock speed
Version 5.0 Flash support
Why give everyone everything they want now when you can get them to upgrade two or three times before they get what they want? |

Have to admit I'm very disappointed in the iPad. Maybe it'll grow to something better but the overall product really is nothing more than a iTouch with a bigger screen.
I can get away with not having MS Office, Flash, and Divx compatibility on my phone but not having it for something that is supposed to replace a computer is pretty bad. Lack of multitasking is definitely a big letdown as well.
I'm sure that the interface will be nice and friendly but if it's going to replace a computer or notebook certain things are pretty much required.
Yes, it's supposedly fast but does so by limiting what it can do and not actually because the hardware is fast.
I was really looking forward to it but it's definitely a disappointment. |

Sorry to revive this dead thread.
I remember reading that the iPad was going to be coming to Korea, but Apple doesn't list Korean as a supported input language. I thought to myself, "Whatever, the iPhone supports Korean, so I'm sure the iPad will, too." The other day I accidentally installed the iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 2 (with iPad support) when I meant to install SDK 3.1.3. At first, I couldn't figure out why there was no Korean keyboard in the simulator, but then I realized it really doesn't have a Korean keyboard. What do you guys think of this? I really don't think we'll be seeing the iPad here any time soon since the simulator in the SDK doesn't have a Korean keyboard.
Of course, Apple has released the beta 3 version of SDK 3.2, and maybe that has a Korean keyboard, but I doubt it.
Any thoughts? |
