I am SUPER tempted to get a tattoo of Homer's chosen one Stonecutters birthmark. I really need to be talked out of this... |

No you don't. You need to stop thinking and go do it. On behalf of everybody, I can say that we all support your decision and we don't care how much you will regret it.
We do... we dooo... |

You don't even dare. If you were so tempted you would already have done it. Just want attention from an internet forum, I see. |

I'm asking for input, yes - and you're being a *beep* behind a screen to push buttons and get attention. You're not better than me, I see. |

I mostly loathe tattoos unless they are unique and/or interesting. You have not said "I'm going to get a Bart/Homer et al tattoo" but rather the stonecutters emblem. I say do it, but don't be offended if I copy your idea! |

That is hands down the best idea for a tattoo I have ever heard. Do it ASAP! |

i can't take credit for the idea, i saw it on the simpsons 20th anniversary special and got so angry that i didn't think of it first.
really don't think i'm going to get it where homer had his birthmark - thats prime real estate! i think i'd like it somewhere where i'd have a lot more control over when its seen. my first tattoo is on my shoulder which can be annoying with evening dresses |

oh wow please dont do it, you'll end up regretting it like the people who got "Ziggy" tattoos do now. I dont know,, i always consider the future when making decisions, so i never got a tattoo before. |

But Stonecutters is timeless... how old is the episode, now? Ten years? Fifteen years? It'll maintain it's popularity. |

i sort of agree with Stalin - its just a cute symbol that fans would understand and is inoffensive looking enough that others probably wouldn't even notice. its not even really a nod to the episode in particular as it is to the show as a whole. now i'm not sure that its timeless but i certainly can't remember a point in my life that i wasn't a fan.
and seriously, not to overthink this or dig too deep here but i think simpsons fans here will agree with me - isn't there a sort of connection you feel with someone when you realize you can quote obscure lines without explaining yourself? finding out someone i didn't expect is a simpsons fan always shines them in a new light to me. but to be honest, really what it comes down to is that i'm super impulsive and now that the idea is in my head there is no way i'm not doing it |
