Always open to new things. Here are the best of what I've been watching on TV here in Korea:
Conan O'Brian's last show. Confirmed why I'd never watched him before.
Criminal Minds, I think the best show now on TV.
Law & Order SVU, the 2nd best show on tv.
The Soviet Story; A Documentary on the soviets.
WW II; Behind Closed Doors: Shows what went on behind the scenes and what a shameful president FDR was for back-stabbing Churchill and trying to make friends with Stalin. |

I've been watching "The Closer" on CGV. It's pretty good!
Also I'm sure The Wire is a good show, but the pompous statements about how it is the Best Show Ever!!! are turning me off from checking it out. Contrarian, I know. |

i keep hearing that about the wire but i can't seem to get into it. i'm going to stick to it though, everyone who has reccommended it to me is a trustworthy source.
i'm a mad man fanatic (a maddict, if you will) and 30 rock is my favourite comedy, hands down. embarassingly enough, the vampire diaries is a decent show. i know, i know - i would judge it prematurely too, but its actually pretty good. project runway is one of the better reality tv shows out there, snl is a weekly favourite and theres always an mtv reality show good enough to be my guilty pleasure. |

That was my attitude toward the show, and believe me, it gets REALLY good very quickly.
As for me, I'm up way too late at night, flipping between Smallville, Family Guy and Simpsons.
And on weekends, my wife hijacks the TV for her lame Korean "comedies", so I avoid the living room altogether. |

I wouldn't say "The Wire" is better than the Sopranos, but the scope of show is larger. It attempts to examine the entire American city and its failures. The Sopranos has a lot more 'literary' and 'high brow'overtones to it, I mean Peter Bogdonavich plays Melfi's therapist. Both could make a case to be the best show ever shown on TV, but I'd go with the Wire.
Mad Men is very good too but not in that league, IMO. |

I think I'm gonna give the Wire another shot. I've seen a few episodes but I couldn't really follow it or get to know the characters, because I always watched it drunk at my friend's house.
Normally I watch 30 Rock, The Office, House, and LOST--the last season of which is starting next Wednesday, I can't wait!
Also I've been watching CSI just because it is ALWAYS on. I just turned the TV on and it's on right now, haha.
And I've watched a few episodes of Royal Pains which is kind of stupid but entertaining. |
