I'm trying to find a home for a young female cat. She was hit by a car not too long ago and we nursed her back to health. She has been very skiddish around us, but has warmed up over time and shown progress in becoming more personable. She was about 5 months old when we found here and she is about 11 months old now. We are leaving the country at the end of this month and we are trying to find a home for her.

If you are interested or have any leads for us please send me an e-mail at trefitty @ g mail dott com

or a text/call to 010-2405-0308 A pre-text before a call would be preferred, but not required. I'm just more likely to answer immediately.

Hi there. I have two cats that need a new home. I am moving very soon and cannot take them with me, unfortunately. They are a pretty amusing twosome...

Miroo is 8 years old, a little overweight, but quite friendly.

Jiroo is 4 years old, thin, and more standoffish. But she does like to play a lot.

But they have been together since Jiroo was born, so are a pretty nice team. So if anyone is looking for some nice companionship... two cats that are comforting but fairly low-maintenance, please let me know.

I also have a cat tree, litter boxes, and all the usual stuff.

You can see pics of the cats here:

It depends on the shelter. An adoption fee is mandatory if you're adopting through ARK. |

				Hi everyone,

I have three beautiful six month old kittens who desperatly wish to be adopted. If someone is willing to foster them I'd be happy with that too. Unfortuantly I'm very allergic to cats and have been having serious troubles with breathing. I need to place them in a home or I'll have to put them in a shelter. My health is at risk.

They have had their first set of shots and will be receiving the second in a weeks time.

Their pictures are on the Animal Rescue Korea site.

I've been living in Seoul for nearly 2.5 years now. Last year a friend of mine made a last minute decision to move back to America. So, myself also being a cat lover, I warmly welcomed his 8 month old 'son' into my life.

Hammy is now about two years old. He's very affectionate and playful. He's well-tamed, has all his shots and was neutered early on. He's always been an indoor cat.

I'll be sad to see him go, but all the more happy to see him be a blessing to another person/family.

I'll be leaving Seoul early January 1010, so I need to find him a new home before then. All supplies (aka. litter box, food dish, kennels, etc..) will be provided.

If you or anyone you know is interested in giving a good home to Hammy please email me at jennine dot best dot kr at gmail dot com.

I can also email you pictures of him if you'd like. He's a tabby cat - orange and white. |

				Hi everybody,

I have a cute rabbit that I love, but my building owner doesn't. I can set you up with her stuff, give you rabbit advice, etc!

Her name is Kimchi, and she's a lot of fun with soju. She's a lot of fun without soju, either. Sometimes, soju can be fun without her too, but why live that way?

Please, please consider adopting her...

Thanks!

Hello! I just posted an advertisement for a sweet dog,

his name is Les Paul and he's located in Masan Korea.

He is a 2-year old British Bulldog, friendly, smart, and house-trained.

I'm selling him for only 400,000 Won, and I will put in the Plastic Petco carrying cage along with his bed.

He's young, healthy, and I unfortunately don't have enough time for him

at the moment; I have a lot of family and friends to visit in Korea. Please message me if you're seriously interested.

Thank you!

				      |

				Hi all!

I was looking through the ARK website and came across a heartbreaking post by a girl who had brought her two cats with her to Korea and suddenly developed really severe allergies to them in her closet-sized apartment.

Although I personally was unable to foster them because the male cat doesn't get along with dogs, our lovely coworker Amy agreed to take them in temporarily until they find a new home.

If you want to help out two low-maintenance, healthy, friendly, fun and well-behaved cats this is a great opportunity. Oh, and did I mention they come with ALL their equipment??? (everything you would need + some: airline approved cat carrier, multiple brushes, nail clippers, covered litterbox, toys, extra food and litter)

About the cats themselves: there are two, one male and one female. Both are sterilized and are UTD on their rabies vaccinations for the next two years. Both are in great health. The male (Notorious C.A.T.) is a GORGEOUS long-haired white cat who is ridiculously friendly. If you throw a party this guy is the first at the door greeting guests. He has personality to the nth degree and likes to play. He also loves to cuddle - you choose. The female (Friday XIII) is black with short hair and huge green eyes. She is docile, calm and chill. She is content to curl up on your lap and be loved anytime - she tends to be just a little bit shy at first but it's not a big deal.

Here's the pictures - they are a SERIOUSLY beautiful pair.

http://picasaweb.google.com/amythecarr/LasVegasMrRobertsonCats?feat=email#

Both are housetrained. The only time they have accidents is if you don't clean the litterbox. These cats have standards!!!

Here's the catch - both of these cats NEED to stay together. They have been companions since kittenhood and it's just not fair to separate them. The female especially depends on the more gregarious male to feel comfortable.

If you are interested and would like to meet them, or if you have any other questions I haven't answered in this post, please PM me. |

Oh, I guess I should mention these cats are located just east of Seoul at the Guri stop on the Jungang Line.

Either Amy or I would be willing to help transport the pair and their belongings to their new home. |

Any good samaritans???! This situation is URGENT!

I live in the countryside and recently rescued a jindo-type pup from a very bad situation. She had been living in a small, crammed, filthy cage with her brother. I had been keeping an eye on them for months (and feeding them from time to time as no one seemed to really be caring for them). The brother has since died I assume-- because he is no longer there. I then rescued the one puppy because she is alone, cold and incredibly skinny.

She is incredibly loving & sweet. A little timid having never been outside of her cage and able to WALK--but I can tell she is going to be a great dog. Her tail is always wagging and she has a really gentle nature and surprisingly loves people!!! Unfortuantely, no one has loved her and her situation was really appalling.

I am leaving Korea in 2 weeks and therefore this situation is urgent! I cannot take her with me--and I am afraid that if I cannot find someone willing to care for her, I will have to release her outside (where at least she has a better shot than in her previous situation). I live in the boonies here and there are no vets, animal shelters, rescue organizations, or even other foreigners with warm hearts... I really am very worried for her.

She is quiet (never barked once since I've had her) and surprisingly she toilets outside and we haven't had any problems with that. She is calm, we handle her food while she eats and she has no food aggression (surprising for a dog that was being starved). She is small and light enough to carry. She is very thin and will have to be taken to a vet sometime soon to determine her health.

I can send pics if interested. Please help! |

I'm sorry, I can't PM you because I don't have enough posts written yet. I can't take your puppy because we are fostering an un-neutered male dog for the next 5 months, but I do have some suggestions that I think might help you a find a home for the little girl.

First of all, post on the pets section of the Seoul craigslist. Of all the ads I've written trying to get our foster cats adopted out we've gotten three solid leads from a craigslist ad in four days.

Also post on the ARK website - that is the hub of animal adoption here. If you don't have an account I can use mine to post her info if you want. Her ad will get a TON of hits from that site. The administrators there are also fantastic and might have better suggestions for you as well. My email address is anne (dot) balkany (at) gmail (dot) com if you want to send me the info to do this.

CouchSurfing is also a GREAT place to find a permanent or foster home, again I would be happy to use my account to post her info there if you would like.

Another ok site is Korea4Expats in the pet forum - here's the link: http://www.korea4expats.com/forum-south-korea/pet-corner-b10.0/

I'm sure there are other sites out there, but this is a good start.

Two other things I thing would help would be including pictures of the puppy, and including where you live so people know whether the distance is doable or not.

Consider targeting a foster home for her if a permanent home doesn't materialize immediately, or even if someone with a car would be willing to transport her to an animal shelter in Seoul, such as Dr. Pet - one of the best. If she doesn't bark, appears housetrained and healthy, and is friendly with people her odds would be good.

Let me know if I can help out by posting her info on Couchsurfing and ARK - it sounds like you did a great thing by taking her out of that situation and I'm sorry I can't take her in myself. Best of luck!!! |
