|
|
Anyone know about torrent sites with Korean films? I've found a couple torrent sites with Asian films that have a few Korean films but not many. Some of my workmates recommended some films that I'd like to check out. It seems that Koreans don't use torrents much (or perhaps it's just my colleagues). |

big films usually make it to most trackers. For lesser known stuff you need a specialty place like avistaz (now asiatorrents)
You might find old long dead torrents of most films on public sites, but you'll almost never find any seeds for them. |

I am surprised no one mentioned: www.asiandvdclub.org You will want subtitles no? Having hard subbed ones on divx = blah. |

all the films on asiatorrents are subbed, so are the ones you find on public trackers...hard subs are really a thing of the past. Its 99% avis + soft subs in one form or another. Most people don't want to download a 4.5 GB DVD when a 700 mb or 1.3 download will suffice. |

I'm a big ADC fan as well and have been a member from the beginning, but I think people would complain about having to DL full ISOs. I'm still peeved that they haven't started accepting Blu-Rays yet. |

You guys are kidding me right? You are IN Korea with the fastest internet in the world, and you can't be arsed downloading a 4gb file? On average those used to take me 10min to download unless it was something old that had a crappy seeder on it.
I don't buy the size issue. If you want something really old, you always have the option of renting it... |

I've got 2 500 GB hard drives full of 700/1.3 GB movies. If I was downloading 4.2 GB ISOs, I'd have to have far more/larger hard drives or far fewer films.
Download speed isn't the problem. Storage space is. |

I also think people would have problems understanding how to play an ISO. Not everyone's like us Mr. Pink. I've had to explain to several people multiple times this week how to DL a torrent. It took a few weeks, but one of them is starting to get the hang of it I think the whole burn ISO to DVD or mount with daemon tools would push them over the edge. People, on avg, really aren't as tech savvy as we might believe. |

This is SO true. I have been shocked, as I expected the younger generation to be all net savvy and quicker to find stuff than me. It really isn't true.
About space issues: I hear that. I have 4TBs of stuff and I really don't want to go get more HDs. What I have started to do is convert some of the DVDs I'll never burn into xvid. The space savings are huge. This is mostly for tv shows that I can't find good quality xvid encodes for. |
