The Swiss game should have been a big enough wake up call. |

I think Broduer really messed up Canada's chances of winning when he batted the puck right to an american. The penalty trouble canada got in really sank them too. On the whole I think canada was playing better as a team. |

For the second game in a row Brodeur was the worst of the two goalies.
No big surprise that Joe Thornton has been completely invisible. |

Canada will be ready for THIS game. Prediction: 6-2 Canada.
USA is equivalent to Slovakia in this tourney, has an outside chance but isn't part of the Top-3 or 4.
Russia, Sweden and Canada has far more talent.
USA does have a good goalie having a career year in the NHL, so there is a chance however slim.

Canada, USA, and Russia will probably be on the podium for men's hockey. (not necessarily in that order) |
Neither the defending Olympic gold medalist Swedes nor the '98 gold medalist Czechs? both of whom have more talent and looked more impressive than the Americans. (Don't buy the nhl.com hype of Team USA. It's just smoke.) |
VI, you should print out this page and eat it.
(By no means, however, should you stop making predictions.) |

Has Joe Thorton ever did something worth mentioning in a game of any importance? |

Yee Haw! USA!!
Okay, I generally give less than a rat's a-s about hockey, but it would be fun to talk some smack to all the canucks round these parts...
When does the next round start?

Yeah, the US hasn't accomplished anything yet except build up their confidence and earn themselves a bye. Canada, though, has put itself in a tough position. After beating Germany, they'll likely have to get past both Russia and Sweden to get to the gold medal game. They can do it, but it won't be easy.
