너무행복하다!

My flight is tomorrow. My visa has just been announced ready to be picked up. So, so close. they were saying it might not be done in time.
Stupid Embassy.

Now I have to go to London at 10am, grab my passport and visa, run to Heathrow for about 10:30 and good riddance to this lousy country until I'm less annoyed with it.

Not that you care.

Hah, if it's anything like mine, the final steps are by far the most stressful.

See you there =P

I'm in the same situation exactly. I'm on hold with the consulate right now to see if my visa's done...

Ouch, Even if you go in yourself to pick it up rather than wait for post?

What are the consequences? My employer subtly noted I'd have to pay for the flight if I miss it.

Yeah, dude, but it looks like you are going to Anyang. England might look pretty good after a couple months in that place.

The recruiter's waiting on the visa to buy the ticket. I flew to Vancouver myself from Saskatchewan to save the mailing time and pick it up in person. I can't help but feel that they're holding it so that it's taking the official amount of time. I mean, how long does it take to watch a 5 minute video of me more or less repeating the information on the application, saying I like kids (but not like kids), and talk about how I play the banjo in my spare time?

Oh well. At least I get to see more Olympics. It's a shame that I won't get much training though. I guess I'll just haul the banjo into work (the director seemed keen on that) and entertain the kiddies while I figure out how to teach them. Confused

As said in another post in regards to Incheon - It's what you make of it, rather than what it is. You're the first that I've come across to say Anyang is bad, though.

That's a rather tight schedule. I might be wrong but I'm sure the bus takes longer than 30 mins.

Heh, well I was exaggerating a little. the flight is at 1:45pm, but I'd like to be at the airport as early as 11am if possible via tubes.

Ah. Sounds like you're flying out on a similar schedule to me. Remember! Take photo ID with you to the embassy.

You're coming from England too? Maybe we'll bump into each other in bizarre circumstances, followed by a strange flash which causes the plane to drop and crash on a mysterious island (Conveniently called Jeju).

Nah, I'm already here. Just sounds like you are going to be flying out on a similar schedule that I had. Arrive at embassy for 10am on Wednesday. Fly from Heathrow at 1.45.

This reminds me a little of my visa saga. I had to mission to London to get my passport from the Korean embassy, when I got there they told me they had had it ready to go out for a few days just hadn't got round to sending it yet. I was not best pleased.
