Is there anyway to find out my ARC card number?

Aparently there is a new rule with opening bank accounts, it can't be done without an arc card. Its gonna take a while to get my new card seeing as I've just arrived back in the country but I need to open a bank account in my name ASAP... they told me if I can give them the number from my old card they'll do it, seeing as the number won't change.

Any ideas???

Cheers

12345-12345?

They probably just need something to fill the blank in the box on the computer. Worth a try.

If you had national health insurance you'll see the same number on the booklet (I think). If you had pension, call their office and try to get the number out of them. They use that number, too (I think).

Or you could just call your ex-employer. They probably have it somewhere. They usually photocopy your ARC or have the number on hand somewhere (I would think).

I opened a bank accout at Shinhan a couple hours I got off the plane. Just gave them my passport.

Thing is, you don't get a ATM card until you've had the accoutn for three months OR you have your ARC card.

FYI, ask for a 6 and 4 digit password. The 4 digit one is for if you use the ATM card, the 6 if you use your passbook.

I spent about 30 mintues trying to get money out with my passbook and 4 digit code. Didn't work.

Also, I don't have a phone, so I just wrote afirend's number down. ONce I get my ARC and phone, I just change my info
