I just wanted to clarify something, since I keep getting conflicting answers (or no answers at all) from recruiters. I realise I need to have my bachelor degree certificate to obtain a visa to teach in South Korea. Mine was lost a few years back in a house move, so I spent quite a bit of money obtaining a replacement certificate. It's still the real deal, but I notice it says you need the original on all applications. Am I going to have a problem with this?

Does it indicate anywhere that it's not the original? If not you are gold. As long as it has fancy letters and sparkly seals and such they won't know the difference. DO NOT in any way intimate that it is not your original degree. Some immi doofus who is having a bad day could decide to use it against you, for what ever reason. I'm finding that out the hard way RE: criminal record checks.

It says on it that it's a replacement, but still looks the part?

Also might be worth noting that I have the original certificate from my postgraduate diploma?

I never sent one. I had a copy notarized and apostilled.

They mean original as in not a photocopy. Each new certificate printed for your school is an original in the sense that it isn't a photocopy, even if it's the fifth certificate you've ordered from your school.

Even that isn't required by immigration though, as others have already pointed out.

Thanks for all the advice guys, very helpful. Now, I just need to find a job. I am getting inundated with information, emails, job details, even what seem like offers, but seem to be going round in circles. People not calling when they say they will, missing phone calls at 6am, receiving duplicate emails from the same recruiters. Nightmare!!
