This one's probably up Gord or Sinchon Blues' alley.

Bought a Samsung SCM 5100 wireless mouse. Got the receiver to pick up mouse movements and clicks but I get no movement on the screen.

What am I doing wrong?

More info needed- explain what you did step by step.

Some things to think about:
Did you load the drivers (from the cd)?
Check for a patch/update on the internet?
Tried using the USB port instead of the p/s2 (or vice versa)?
Properly sync the mouse to the receiver (this usually involves pushing a button on the receiver then pushing one on the mouse)?

You have to reset the button on both the mouse and the reciever part.

IMO cordless mouses SUCK. I just threw away my MS cordless mouse. IT would lag way too much when using it.

Thanks, it seemed that I didn't sync the receiver and the mouse properly last night.

Afraid of lag when I play FPS games, but seems okay so far.

I haven't had any problems with mouse lag in games (Unreal Tournament 2003, Vice City, Deus Ex, Homeworld2) but I HAVE had problems with the mouse wheel not being recognized in games and lagging even on internet pages. It's a Logitech and was given to me as part of a mouse keyboard set. The keyboard is really sweet, but I may yet go back to a corded optical mouse.
