If it is not a 4 year degree from a brick and mortar university (since you are Canadian) the Korean immigration office will NOT accept it.
Basically, if it comes from any of the "paper mills" that are on their watch list you won't get a visa.

Athabasca is an accredited university that offers three- and four-year distance bachelor's degrees. I seriously doubt the OP would have a problem getting a visa with an Athabasca degree (but it wouldn't be a "quick and easy" option either). |

I can't speak for Canada- but in the US, a person could look up accredited schools at www.chea.org. There are many traditional schools that are now offering accelerated and distance programs.
Also, many universities and colleges offer ways in which employers and other schools could verify a person's academic history for the sake of future enrollment and employment. |

Although my Bachelor's degree is from a B&M university, My masters is from Athabasca University. I had no trouble securing a university job at a Korean University while I was there. AU's programs are nationally funded (which is the same as regional accreditation in the U.S.), and they are also regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). They offer three year university degrees (no minor) but I think it is better to get a 4 year degree. |

Funny, not one of these answers correlates with his question. Maybe they all have degrees |

Here is a list of Canadian online universities; http://www.worldwidelearn.com/online-degrees/online-canadian-degree.htm
I would browse through them and see which program is right for you.
Good luck!
One thing I want to add, that might be off-topic from the OP, is that going to a B&M university as a mature student might be alittle intimidating and embarrassing- I remember alot of older students at my alma mater felt out of place because they were around so many young people. Also, many professors and students use the class as a "popularity contest"; If the professor likes you, you will do exceptionally well, but if not, well...you might be borderline or fail.
The good thing about an accredited online university degree program is that a student could do the work and be graded based on the merit of their work and not on how the professor thinks of them. I found that the more a student contributes to the online discussion forum in the virtual classroom, the more the teacher appreciates the input and bases the grades off the participation, not on the impression the professor has of the student sitting in the classroom. |
