|
|
I know there are tons out there but they either tell me such and such is only available in the US or I have to give out personal information.
I just want to easily watch free good quality movies and TV shows without any hassle. |

Usually I use youtube ^^*
Rubbish quality but there are always British TV shows.
I have heard good things about netflix - imagine you should start there. |

| Thanks but I can't use Netflix either without an American address. They want to mail dvds to your home so this service isn't available in Korea. |

all the streaming sights I tried kept getting "stuck" while loading tv shows.
Tvduck.com was the best one I found!
However, as a last resort if you live in Seoul you can always go to Yongsan Electronics market and find English movies and tv series for about 2,000 -3,000 won per disc. |

It has also been my experience here that the streaming sites get stuck all the time, and it takes me forever to watch a 45 minute show. Here's what we do now:
Downloading the shows is fast. We use either Vuze or www.btjunkie.org and Transmission for downloading the torrent files. Then, our PS3 is connected wirelessly to our internet, and so, it connects wirelessly to our computer. Using Vuze, we can format the .avi files for the PS3, go to the TV and PS3 and watch the shows on it. It's really new to us, but it works so well, and is much more comfortable for watching shows and movies rather than sitting in a computer chair for hours on end trying to wait for the streaming sites.
Now... if only I could get my husband to be more willing to share his PS3 more often, I'd be set!
Otherwise, if you don't have a PS3, the sites I used for streaming are:
www.ch131.com
www.yidio.com
And, if you want to watch the shows with www.hulu.com or other sites where you have to be in the States to do so, you can download a Hotspot Shield, and I guess that works. I haven't gotten into that just yet. |

| if your PC isn't too far from the TV you can probably just run video and audio out to it. Most laptops have VGA/DVI out and most newer TVs have an audio in you can connect with a long headphone type cable from laptop to TV. That's what I do. |

I forgot to add... My husband also uses his PS3 to go to this site... and our computer:
www.justin.tv
It's pretty good for streaming TV. The only problem is that it seems like they reach the maximum number of streams for Korea a lot. |

Not sure but it sounds like you're transferring the files you downloaded to the PS3. If you have already downloaded it to your computer/laptop, you can just stream it to your PS3 using a program such as TVersity.
Or stream directly from surfthechannel and watch on your PS3 using the built in browser. A bit of a pain to use, but not bad if you just want to watch a quick show/movie. |

| BitTorrent! Google "bittorent tutorial" if you don't know how to do it. I haven't had a TV in years but I can watch anything I want... after waiting 20 minutes or maybe even an hour sometimes. More obscure movies or older files might take longer. Like most people, I prefer the layout of PirateBay when it comes to looking for the torrent files but there are lots of other options. |

| Thanks, you've all been very helpful but I still can't find a website that can give me access to shows like Dr. Oz, Oprah, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Discovery Channel's -A Haunting, etc... |
