Anyone know where I can buy tea bags over here? I mean like the kind you get in the UK. Something akin to a PG Tips/Yorkshire Tea would be nice... |

The only confirmed source of British-style tea is the Twinings English Breakfast Tea in the department stores. 9000 won for 25 bags!
We've had this conversation a few times on this forum. The best way to get your English tea fix is just to have them sent from home.....teabags are light so cheap to post. Have your Mum send a big catering pack of PG Tips. That's what I do. |

PG Tips = awful.
Typhoo = good.
Yorkshire tea = also good.
I am glad to be finally going to a place where tea bags and crumpets and ginger biscuits are readily available. |

They have big boxes of Twinnings Earl Grey at Costco. I think it was about 9000 won for 50 bags. |

Buy Chinese black tea - pretty much the same as standard British tea bags. Think it's called hongcha in Korean and you can get it in any supermarket. The one I used to get was in a red cardboard box, about 50 bags per pack. |

Lipton is the closest to good black tea I've ever found here. Some boutique brands are starting to do earl grey now too. Just look at any big brand mart.
Anyone ever found Dilmah? Miss that stuff. |

My boyfriend(from the UK) buys online at Gmarket a brand called Akbar for pretty cheap and they taste fine to him. Also we just got a big box of Lipton Yellow Label tea, which is comparable to English Breakfast tea for like 6,000 won at the Costco in Daejeon. |

A genuine lover of British-style tea would never make do with Liptons. It's not really the same at all. |

Yeah, homeplus has always been the best bet for me - I get tetleys sent as much as possible, but usually rely on twinnings when stuck. If you can be bothered to buy a strainer or set you can get assam and ceylon pretty cheap online. |

If you can make the trip to Itaewon, I'd recommend the foreign food market. Their stock varies from week to week, but there's a decent ceylon tea that I use whenever I'm out of the good stuff. |
