I have been offered a job in Thailand with Fun Language. I have also been offered three jobs in Korea (2 in Pohang, 1 in Busan). Though, I prefer to live in Thailand, i think its more practical to go with Korea. I would prefer China and Thailand over Korea.

The benefit to Korea, though, is the free airfare and apartment. In Thailand, I have to pay my airfare and apartment and the contract is only 8.5 months.
So, by the end of the contract, I probably have spent almost 2 grand in airfare and a lot for a place to live. I might, if lucky, come out even. But then again, its Thailand - so its a great, beautiful place.

For those who have been to China, Korea and Thailand - if all being equal (let's assume) - which one would you choose?

All else isn't equal. Your question is illogical.

Beep boop.

Go to Busan. You can EASILY save in six months there enough to live as a king for one year in Thailand. Plus the multiple daily flights from Busan to Bangkok means you can travel quickly and easily to Thailand for three-day weekends and weeks off no problem.

So do both. Make much better money in Busan and then travel to Thailand.

before I decided to come to Korea my number one choice was Thailand. I changed my mind after doing a bit of research. If you can't save money what's the point? Are you just doing it to travel?

And, after travelling around Thailand I realized that Korea is just a few steps above it. Korea is 1st world-ish, Thailand is 3rd world-ish. Or, at least that is how it seems to me.

So, unless you are absolutely sure that your teacher posting will be next to a beach resort I'd go Korea. Although, you will probably pissed off at me in the winter. Good luck with the decision.

I hope you were offered a contract in Korea with a public school, otherwise teaching in Korea is risky. Public schools pay and give what they stipulate in the contract. Hogwans are notorious for being problematic when it comes to giving what the contract says they are supposed to give and there is nothing you can do about it if its a bad hogwan.

I'm doing what others mentioned...planning on living in Thailand for quite a while when I'm done teaching in Korea.

You don't mention how important saving money is. For me it's quite important. I had a friend who couldn't stand Korea, and is now getting a job in Thailand at much lower pay. Do you have any debt to pay off? Planning on saving for the future? Then Korea. If you're just looking to have a good time, I'd say Thailand.
