I'll be in Seoul this weekend, and I need some new dress shoes that won't kill my feet or make my ankles bleed. I wear a size 290, which is rather difficult to find at times. Any recommendations? |

Shopping online isn't a bad idea. Just plug 왕발 into Gmarket or Naver and you'll get lots of places that sell up to 300.
There's a place in Itaewon called 왕발 that sells up to at least 330 (my size). They're on the same side of the street as McDonald's, about halfway to the subway stop from there. Their phone number is 02-797-6615 |

I've had a lot of luck in Gangnam by the ABC mart and Kumgang shoes stores.
In my experience, Gangnam has been the best for 290 shoes (my size too), I wouldn't advise going to Myeongdong. |

I wear a 285 (10 1/2). All the places in Korea have size 280 or 290.
Actually, I wear a 10 1/2 E (wide foot). So, wearing a 290 is way too big. |

The Dr. Martens store just 1 minute walk from Konkuk university station is great.
Great large-size shoes, that feel good and look dressy. |

Try the Rockport store in Itaewon. I've had some luck finding shoes there. Although, unlike you I'm female with size 10 Narrow feet. Hard to find at home. Nearly impossible to find in Korea. |

I'm 330 / 15US , very difficult to find good shoes here. VERY difficult.
Itaewon is your best option. |

Possibly in Seoul, but here in Daegu, that size can be hard to find at times. Most shoe stores have certain models in that size, but they've often been out of stock of 290 versions of the models I want. I imagine Seoul would be better considering the larger waygook population.
Thanks for the advice, everyone. |
