See you at after your midnight run. Better luck on your next job at Safeway. I like my groceries double bagged.

lmao

honestly though, if my boss was even half decent with me i'd help out where i could. I'd do my best to ensure that i had a job for the duration of my contract. If that entailed me giving (or being paid) and extra hour once every few months.. i'd do it. I did more for my job back home thats for sure.

Hmm...how did I know. So, I guess you won't be bagging, you'll be spraying down the veggies with the hose. Good for you. As for me being a lifer, well, I'm in the States about 3 months out of the year at our branch, I work out of our Hong Kong branch a couple of weeks a year, I spend about another two months a year cumulative visiting our partners in China, Russia, Iceland, Norway, and/or Spain. So I guess I'll just have to condemn myself to this misery while you get

i am angry, ive been angry for months because i hate korea now and the people. I came here with an open mind 3 years ago and basically only liked one school over those 3 years and it's not the one im at now. im tired of being stared at, and being an outcast, i was in the bookstore on the weekend and i was trying to pass some old korean guy in an LG mart to get to the back of the store, and the bastard pushed me, and he was like 60, so i turned and what the *beep* are u doing, and he pretended like i wasnt talking to him and i said yes im talking to u, not like he understood a word i was saying but he knew why i was mad. it's shit like this that bugs me, that would never happen in Canada, and Canadians dont use their horns when driving every 20 seconds, they would be pulled over

3 years and you can't say "What the hell are you doing?" in Korean?
No wonder you've got all that anger bottled up inside you.

You seem like you'd be miserable anywhere you go. Might as well get out of Korea. Too much pollution here as it is.

it is your boss's business, he is your boss.... you work for him.

he can ask you to do anything he wants.. you on't have to do it but your decision, either way, might show on your reference.

it is sometimes worth biting your tongue and doing whats asked

Yes he works for his boss, but he works for his boss at a specific location as stated on his E-2.
I wonder what the legality is of doing work in Korea outside of the location specified on your work visa - I remember a story over a year ago about a bunch of Canadian actors who were involved in a nationwide production and were getting paid a small amount of money. Immigration raided the theatre and a bunch of them got deported.

Anyone else know better?

it seems like i always get the latter. i cant believe i went to universtiy for this. i have 12 weeks left and i know im going to get into a huge fight about money owed to me. he's ripped off the last 2 teachers who finished their contracts, and if he does it to me im gonna go nuts. I hate having cameras in the classrooms and mics, the schedule is terrible and my average class size is 22 or 23 which is rediculous. If you were yelling at kids all day u'd be angry too.

Because he pays you.

Odds are your contract says otherwise. Might want to read it and check.

Though in all seriousness, I had to stand in for a friend who was delayed flying back from the U.S. where his acadamy needed him to hand out flyers at a school. You go there, hand out flyers for 30 minutes, and generally wave and smile to the kids as they walk by. It's not like they said "screw the frost, we need that ditch dug today!"

I believe this is actually illegal. A hagwon cannot pass out flyers at a public school.
