Hi - my husband and I are looking to go back to Korea to teach at a public school in gyeonggi province. We previously worked in Jeju through EPIK. Ideally, we'd like to work in the same city and be able to chose which city we work in (mid-sized city near the coast).
If we apply through GEPIK, my understanding is that we'll write out our top 3 choices but will not necessarily be guaranteed a position at those cities. It'd be great to avoid feeling like it's a crapshoot!
Would it be wise for me to contact a town's Department of Education (I'm fluent in Korean) or should I just look for openings on the job board? |

| I went straight to the office of education and told them what I wanted. It wasn't a specific city but certain conditions (near the water, small school, etc.) and they were all met with shockingly appropriate results. I may have just got lucky but it's definitely worth a shot. |
