So I'm the first person from my school in my apartment and basically it has nothing but a bed and a wardrobe. My school asked me to look around for the rest of the stuff and give them the price so they could get approval from accounting and then buy it but I'm unsure where to look. My co-teacher suggested just looking on the internet (G-market). So I looked there but does anyone else have any other advice or experience buying a sofa (from g-market or elsewhere?). I'm just afraid I'm going to order something and it turn out really uncomfortable. On the plus side I get to pick out my own furniture so I can match it to my style |

Maybe you can visit the store and try out the furniture before buying it on Gmarket? It usually lists the vendor info on there. I'm just gonna order a sofa and won't really expect luxury for the price I'm paying (at most 200,000won - I'm cheap!), just something to sit on that isn't my bed or a desk chair. |

I ordered a couch from gmarket in october. I only payed maybe 130,000 with delivery and everything and the couch is nothing to write home about. Very uncomfortable and it's cheap plastic that looks like leather. However, I'm only going ot use it a year so I didn't want to spend much more than that. It does the job for me to sit and watch TV. It's VERY light though so it needs to be against a wall or it will slide along the food floor. If you are looking for a good quality couch I would go to the store, not order one on Gmarket bc you don't know what you are going to get.... |

I bought a sofa bed on Gmarket just last month for 84,000 won plus 30,000 won delivery. The couch is nothing special. It's quite light and folds into a "sofa bed" - however the part that folds down isn't well supported so we're just using it as a guest bed and not a regular bed. It is like basic IKEA fare but a little lower quality. However, it was worth the price we bougt it for; we might not even have it six months before we have to sell it.
My only problem with the couch was that it took almost two weeks to deliver. No idea why. I asked them to rush deliver it so they got it to my place maybe 5 days earlier than projected.
Happy shopping! |
