The virii:

Adware.Gator
Adware.Keenval
SecurityRisk.Downldr

have been detected by my Norton '04 Antivirus program, yet the program doesn't / cannot delete em. My antivirus software is constantly updated, but i mean whats the use of having antivirus sware that doesnt and cannot delete virii???

At least a couple of those programs listed in the OP are spyware- Spybot Search and Destroy should take care of them.
You should be aware that some of these were installed when you you downloaded and installed some free internet program (e.g. Kazaa) and such programs may no longer function with the spyware removed... anyway Spybot does a good job of explaining this kind of stuff.

They are wonderful little programs that piggyback a download. You may have to manually delete them. Firstly look in your startup files and run msconfig. They are a pain in the proverbial OS. Best of luck. Smile

Cydoor and Gator are not viruses. Did you install a download program like Kazaa or Imesh. That is the usual source of the Ads.
