from what i know of the mokdong campus, you get paid more than average (W3,000,000 to start + housing/airfare/etc.) but have to work long hours. about 60 hours a week, many times a bit more.

they seem to be one of the larger chains, and pretty well regarded here.

You'll make great coin, and you'll be too busy to spend it.

I think Poly is fine if you are only here to make some money, but if you come to experience a new culture and that whole bit... you'd be better off taking less money and having more time.

Just think about that work/life balance.

I worked at poly before. As hagwons go, they are quite reputable. You'll always be payed, and it will always be on time. They are generally not shady.

However, that was at my location. Keep in mind that this is a Franchise, and it depends on which one you go to. Different poly's have different directors, and the director makes all the difference to the work environment.

The pay will be very high, but the work hours will be very long. Ifyou're looking to make some money, it's a good bet, as you won't have time to spend it hahah. Vacation time is also almost non-existant, and the teaching time and expectations are high. Still... if you can hack it, it's a good choice.

Do you have to be North American to work at Poly?
