I'd like to help my father in law get a job here in Korea; factory, farm, fisherman, etc. Anyone know how to do this? Where to start? How difficult is the visa issue (assuming it is a legal job)?

I have no clue, but I could find someone who does.

My advice: Go to Ansan or somewhere else where there are many 3D migrant workers. Ask one of them how he/she got the job.

It will take more time for him to get out of the RP than it will to get a visa confirmation number for here.

Check out the Philippine OFW site.

AS to finding a LEGAL job here, try Ansan, Anyang or any Catholic church (the English service). Most of the workers you run across can tell you who is hiring for factory work and get him connected.

Thanks for the advice, but first I have to try and convince him to work!
