How long does it take to get your E2 number? I sent my documents a little over 2 weeks ago, and then they passed it on to immigration. Should i be worried it is taking so long? They said it would be 10 days - 2 weeks. I am scheduled to start to in May, but i dont have my visa number, my consulate interview or my flight ticket yet. Is this normal? |

Nope, don't worry. It took 4 weeks to get mine once the documents arrived in Seoul via FedEx. And then 9 more days to get my passport stamp. |

Four weeks? That doesn't seem right - was there some issue? Previous threads I've seen on this topic seemed to state an average of 4-10 working days from the time Immigration receives all paperwork.
I'm in the same situation and timeframe as austinmc86, so it would definitely be nice to know if it's taking longer than that to process visas... |

Keep in mind that the times quoted are from the time the school submits everything to immigration. Once you figure in shipping time and everything else, I guess it could be more like 2-3 weeks from the time you actually shipped your documents to Korea. If it's been longer than that, I would get in touch with your school and figure out what's going on.
I sent in my documents to Korea exactly two weeks ago, but my school didn't submit everything to Immigration until the beginning of this past week. I'm figuring I should have my VIN by this upcoming Friday - I hope... |
