| I'm thinking Tokyo for a Baseball game plus a day at Fuji, Hiroshima, then to Okinawa---> Fukuoka---> ferry to Busan. I think i will need to get a rail pass. What are my options on this trip? I really want to get out of Korea for a week in the Summer. Any suggestions would be great |

The rail pass isn't going to get you to Okinawa. You'll need to fly there from either Tokyo, Fukuoka or Hiroshima. It would probably be cheaper for you to pay for your shinkansen trip at the JR station (unreserved 21,000 yen-ish... or fly) rather than the rail pass.
Day 1: land at Tokyo, climb Fuji that night
Day 2: sunrise at Fuji then descend, recover at a night game
Day 3: shinkansen or fly to Hiroshima, afternoon and evening in Hiroshima
Day 4: fly to Naha (Okinawa)
Day 7: fly to Fukuoka, ferry to Busan
It's doable, but very hectic. And the average Joe will need a day to recover from Fuji - the scree on the way down is a pain. |

| Stay in Tokyo if you want pics of Tokyo and if the weather is clear you can see Fuji as well. Fuji is challenging with not too many photogenic spots once you're climbing it. You can spend half a day in Hiroshima and IMO it'd be a shame to not see Miyajima sice it's so close. If you could meet people on the beaches of Ishigaki instead I'd recommend that. |
