|
|
Please tell me someone knows of a place that can cut black men's hair. I've been here for a few months and scoured this city and NO ONE can seem to cut my hair decently! Not even the African chicks outside camp walker!! The stylists at "Afro HAIR" downtown were to scared to even try to cut my hair, and the "barbers" on base at camp walker are horrible! *SIGH* I'm even willing to pay some expats that are here who are skilled with the clippers!! Let me know!! |

Or you could just stay here. Roberto Frigo has set up a shop (Frigo Hair). He has been a stylist/trainer/manager for Tony and Guy in London and Sydney.
Make an appointment. He's not cheap, but he's the best you'll see in this country, including Seoul.

I don't really know, but if you look around Camp Walker you may find some place (soldiers and such). |

Last I heard, barbershops off base in Korea are off-limits to the US military, so that might not work:
Quote: |
USFK Reg 190-2 App. A (7 May 04)
The following areas and establishments within the ROK are off-limits:
A-1. All acupuncture clinic, civilian medical and dental clinics, pharmacies, drug stores, and civilian hospitals except for the purpose of receiving treatment or prescriptions when referred by U.S. medical treatment facilities, receiving emergency treatment, or visits to patients.
A-2. All civilian tattoo parlors, body piercing shops and barber shops. |

Not concerned except for that whole off-limits bit and routine patrols. What did you not unsderstand about the post above? BTW, it's not the haircuts available at the barbeshops why the places are off-limits. It's certain other activities available at so many barbershops here that puts them in that category. |

Ahhh! I've walked around camp walker and asked every hairstylist over there, they all only do womens hair, and the one that "claimed" she does, royally f****D my head up!! Asked several black G.I.'s they all had various answers that wont work. So i might give Frigo hair a try. It's my last resort.... |

Scratch that. Just looked at his FB page and he posted a comment saying he nor his staff has any experience with African American hair. But your an "International Stylists?" |
