Hi,
I am looking for public school jobs in and around Cheongju and have decided to go for EPIK in the hope of getting something in Daejeon or Chungbuk. I have been told that as these are not popular places I should definitely get these if I get all my documents through by June. I HAVE all my documents but have to wait a few weeks for an interview (>.<).
Does this sounds true? If I don't get put in one of these two places I may as well not apply. My better half lives in Cheongju, so I NEEEED to be in that area. Daejeon would be perfect, Chungbuk is still a gamble if it's too rural.
I am interested to know if anyone has any insider info on likelihoods of getting your first choice for less popular places.
Thanks,

Hey there,
From what I know you're chance are pretty good of getting into a less popular place. We applied to EPIK really really late in December for March intake, we wanted a city but were told there was pretty much little chance of getting on but if we were willing to put down Chungbuk or somewhere rural there would be spaces. They get so many preferences for cities I think it your preference is rural or less popular you should be pretty certain of getting it. We really did want a city so deferred to this intake and have got in pretty early so hoping for Busan! I wouldn't hurt to email them and check though, but they are pretty busy and may take awhile to get back to you.
All the best anyway, I would say go for it m |
