Zippy's back and needs a skateboard to get across Pukyung National University on his way to and from work. He says it's a 20-minute walk and wants to cut it down to five.
Does anyone know where he can get a decent priced longboard?
He says the traffic is light there, but will the campus police give him any trouble boarding across campus? |

Somebody asked the same question last week, but didn't any answers.
I found an active forum here:

and found this tidbit:

007,
Hey that is true. there is a surf shop at sujoeung beach (east of jangsang) where you can order longboards. the thing is that they will only come when they place there order for the season. I missed it by a week or two this fall so i ordered mine thru daddiesboards. There are a few of my friends here as well that skate and a once you have a board we should skate together. I live in samick beach. Again your best bet to get a good board is just to order it off the internet.
A guy in my APT block got a board off the internet, but I've had no luck finding Korean sites.
I will go and check the Sujeong shop out after I get paid on the 25th... |

If scooters and Bongo trucks are OK, I don't think a board will be a problem. |

I found Zippy a longboard for only $115, shipping included. It's a warehouse blemished deal for $70 and the original shipping was $73, but because it's an international order I had to send them a money order (no credit card payment accepted for intn'l). But for certified payment (money order) there's a 20% discount--on the shipping too. That's my kinda deal.
These guys are fast! I sent the money order on Thursday and they shipped it on Monday. The USPS sent Zippy the tracking info too.

Now he wants his helmet. That'll cost me $40 to box up and send out of here. |

The longboard made it to Korea, and he tells me there's barely a scratch on it--for a scratch and dent sale.
So I'm happy to recommend Soulboards if anyone is looking for a skateboard company that ships to Korea. Great deals.
