His name's David too.
Actually they made a mistake on my profile and said I had been here for six years. Actually it's been 15 months in total. I told them that but they were too late. A friend of mine from the Ukraine got a name tag saying he was from Russia though; I suppose that's worse. It's his fault though; I asked him where he was from and he said the Soviet Union...
As for the girl I couldn't hold back...this is a secret, but that fight was staged! Yep, that one was fake. Fake fake fake fake. The reason why was when we arrived on scene for all the other calls they had all run away.
As for the negatives, Koreans do like to hear about them. The negatives they don't like to hear are ones to do with Japan and other sensitive topics, but they're eager to hear what others think about Koreans with regards to sex, fighting, plastic surgery, and so on. The crowd there was all paid though so I didn't get to see any real reactions. |

| It's universal; everybody likes to hear criticism as long as it's constructive. Often it's something they've never thought of before. |

| I've found Koreans to be very defensive and are very bad at taking criticism, especially if its from a foreigner |

I think it's a dislike of taking criticism from somebody who they don't trust to be informed enough to criticize. It was thought that Japan was the same but the show of the same nature as this one was popular for a long period of time, and most of the people I knew loved tuning in to it to see what weird aspect of Japan would show up next.
But since we both seem to have differing opinions, let's home somebody else jumps in here. |

| Koreans asking for criticism? Yeah, right. Loosely translated, it's like saying "Was it good for you?" |

| Now now, you know that's not true for all of them. I'll say it again, wanting to hear constructive criticism from time to time is universal. They specifically told us before the show that they wanted us to be completely honest and straightforward about the problems we have with this country. |

| The audience was just a group of girls paid to ooh and aah so it's hard to tell what the response was. However everybody who posted about it on my home page has said that they hope it comes on again, so that's not bad. |

| I've had rational conversations with Koreans about Korea (both good and bad things covered) numerous times. Usually it has taken the form of talking about differences between Korea and Canada. If you're just bagging Korea that isn't going to be received well even if you're saying something undeniably true ("The air is bloody filthy in this country..."). Use some tact and actually have a discussion, and things are often fine. |
