|
|
Hi,
Apparently, at least according to a Korean teacher, the 2nd of June could be made a public holiday due to the local elections or something.
Does anybody know anything more about this?
Thanks... |

Election days are NON WORKING days for PS teachers.
If you are at a hakwon - you work.

Not exactly. I was sent home twice of the last three election days as attendance at the hagwon was low. But they're small town, one-waygook hagwons.
I'll ask Thursday if I get election day off at this four-waygook small city hagwon. |

Yeah, I didn't work on election day when I worked at a really small hogwon (around 100 students tops, and I was the only foreign teacher). |

It makes up for the June 6th National Holiday (Memorial Day) that falls on a Sunday this year. |

A slight diversion from the main topic, but still within the general scope....
...Will the banks be open on that day? |

No class....cheap wings Tuesday night. Sounds like I'm going to go for a new personal record of 54 wings.
No work on election day...what a concept. 'Merica needs to do this and make voting easier for everyone. |
