What are the ski seasons in korea?
I have heard ski lift pass and ski rental is much cheaper than in europe/usa. How much would a long weeekend skiing cost from seoul? |

I think it's like December to early March. I went to Phoenix Park near the end of February. Pretty cheap, I think I spent like just over 100,000 won for a 2 day lift pass and gear rental. I stayed at a Korean friend's apartment and he drove us out there. I know their is a hostel located right next to the lifts. Good luck. |

Why the crap are you asking this question now? You know winter is in like 9 months, right? |

Thanks rickpidero for your helpful answer
I hate the way the anonymity of forums causes some people to be such dicks.
I'm planning to live in Korea and am trying to find out as much information as I can before I leave so that there aren't too many surprises down the line if you must know |

Try using this search engine. A lot of the questions you've been asking have been covered in detail previously. For example: Seoul vs other.

FYI, Aussies are quite aware that the northern hemisphere has different seasons, unlike many northern hemispherians I know. The number of blank stares I get when I say I go home to summer for a month in January every year.... |

Actually I think ski passes are comparable in price to the US/Canada, however ski rental is cheap, but pretty substandard from what I've seen.
Skiing here is pretty bad though, packed resorts, thin slopes, little real snow (this year there was quite a lot of snow but most resorts did their best to remove it from their pristine ice-rink like slopes), too many people who have no idea on how to ski/board, too few challenging runs, not more than half a day's enjoyment in any of the resorts, and quite expensive accommodation and foreigner unfriendly transport systems.
However, Sapporo, Japan, is only 2 hours flying time and they have some incredible resorts with so much snow it's unreal. If you get an Xmas vacation that's the place to head. Not too expensive either really, apart from the flights maybe. |

Even though Korea is not a world class destination for skiing, I find the prices quite reasonable. Renting is so cheap I haven't bothered getting my board here. The package deals (find a Korean speaker who can find these) are often a great bargain, specially towards the end of the season. |
