Hello,

I just arrived in Korea a short time ago and have quickly realized that I can find just about anything that I would miss from Canada. The one thing which seems to be extremely different is the milk. Does anyone have any suggestions for milk that tastes closer to Canadian 1%, 2%, skim... rather the milk that I tried, ESL milk, which tasted too creamy.

Thanks
Harp

you can get "low fat" milk, which comes in a blue box, and it seems to be around 2%, good luck finding skim here.

Get the low fat pasteurized milk and dilute it with water.

Or you could buy those little cartons of breast milk and see how they compare to Canadian milk. Look for the picture of a baby gnawing on a nipple.

A lot of the smaller supermarkets don't carry the "low fat" stuff...but most big chain convience stores will...like 7-11 or LG 25, Family Mart etc.

I only drink/use the low fat stuff. Not sure on taste, but some of that Korean milk has WAY too much fat for my liking.

If you want it skim, add water Smile Works for me too.

The best one we've found is "Denmark Milk" it has a blue label with the outline of a running man/woman on it. It's really the closest to home and I think it's 1.5%, from what I can read on the label.

Running Man Milk all the way, baby!

Welcome to Korea. Is your nickname also Harpo, or is it just your handle? I, myself am the Moncton Harpo. Just wanted to clear that up in case there was any confusion.
Cheers!

I'd love to have some lowfat milk, what's the name of the brand you guys have been drinking? Maybe someone can post a picture of the carton?

Oh man I love the milk here! What's the deal with the milk anyway? Does it have a really high fat content?

No way! European milk will make you fat - the milk here isn't creamy enough.

I drink the second one.... Seoul Milk's skim milk.

I'd prefer to buy Busan Milk, but they don't make skim!
