My local "supermarket" carries several Namyang dairy products, but no skim milk.
The only reason I know it exists is because Namyang had attached some sample packages of their skim milk to their other products as a promotional gimmick.

The best milk in Korea is Pasteur brand milk. Fresh Milk
It took me a long time to find it. Finally Wal Mart began to carry it, but now I have moved to the Itaewon area and can't find it here. If anyone knows where to find it here, please let me know. I have started to drink lowfat Seoul Milk but it still has a little of that strange korean milk taste. Pasteur Fresh Milk tastes the same as lowfat milk in the States.

| That's what we buy. 1 Kg. bag is around 7,000 Won. Seoul Milk is the brand. Usually kept near the baby foods/formula area. Enough to last a month or so, depending on how much you drink/use. We were buying it at Kim's Club, but they seem to have discontinued selling it. E-mart has it. We live in Seocho, Seoul. Good luck! |

Yuck...who wants to go around drinking someone's breast milk? |

Yes, because it is pasterized. They also have low fat. Are you able to get to Hanam Supermarket easily? That may be a good bet. |

Where do you think cow milk comes from? The cow's eye?
I'd rather suckle a women's breast than a cow's breast, any day of the week! |

That's why I quit red meat and cow milk two years ago and have started drinking soy milk. It contains nearly every amino acid that you need for your body and does not contain any potentially harmful elements.
It's only a suggestion. Not everyone wants to live 100 years! |

I'm not sure if you meant only that brand is pasteurised but all (that I've seen) milk here is pasteurised. Read the label on the side of the carton and it gives the information. |

korean milk... i was always trying to figure out exactly what the difference was between that and... good milk! It is hard to describe the exact flavour of korean milk, i think it tastes a little like corn!
and before anyone says anything, it was not past its use by date. |

The milk is unpasteurized, and will make you sick, at least it did me, and notice that Korean women will not give store milk to their kids.
You as the op may not agree with me, but other people reading may want to stick to cheese (if it's available and you have eight bucks to pay for it) or yogurt (cheaper, more readily available, also comes in drinks) as a healthier calcium option instead.
The mothers seem to go with the little yogurt drinks a lot for their kids, btw.
If you like cereal, maybe milk in that like once a day is ok but I sure just wouldn't go around drinking the stuff. |
I've been drinking it for nine years and never gotten sick. And on the side of the cartons it tells you at what temperature and for how many seconds the milk was pasteurised. Where did you hear it isn't? |
