Why limit it to EPIK teachers? Why not make it accessible to everyone?

The other thing that you could do is add a forum. Since there are plenty of other general ELT in Korea forums, yours could be something specifically for EPIK (or other public school) teachers. The benefit of them using YOUR site as opposed to any official forum, is that you can offer anonymity.

At the beginning, it probably WILL be lonely. If you tell lots of people about it though, I'm sure that eventually it will start filling up with materials.

I think it's a great idea, I've thought of doing something similar myself.

I use this site it's not Epik but it's right for Middle/Elementary schools
http://eflclassroom.com

I use the Powerpoints from Side By Side from Instructional Powerpoints.
I also use handouts from Bogglesworld

I would love an EPIK only site that got traffic. It could also be subdivided into elementary, middle and high.

Why EPIK only? Because many of us tailor the lessons to the books we use. Thus there would be more lessons that are directly related to what we cover.

Someone said "Why limit it?". Don't limit downloads. Only limit uploads.

My 2 wons worth.

I don't know what EPIK you do. I been with EPIK three years and never had one textbook.

So let all use.

I do the EPIK (English Program in Korea) in Busan. I don't know what to tell you that they don't have books in your school.

If you just want lesson plans and powerpoint files, then there's a logic in just specializing in EPIK related materials.

If you open it up to many types of teachers then you will get a lot of related stuff that EPIK teachers can adapt to their classes. Sure it's great to just download a complete lesson, but if you want auxiliary materials, do you really care whether they were originally intended for your textbook or another?

It's a matter of efficiency. Maybe if there were forum areas such as:

Elementary EPIK book related lessons
Middle School EPIK book related lessons
High School EPIK book related lessons
After school conversation classes
Others as needed
etc
etc
etc

I have spent alot of time over the past two years searching other VERY good sites such as eflclassroom, barrys, you know the ones. It would just be so much easier to see others PPTs and handouts for Dongsan book chapter 3, 4, 5, etc...

Again, just my 2 wons worth. Any and all sites are great but it would sure be nice to simplify the search process.
