ive been in korea two weeks. i lost my british passport before i got my card ( was actually on my way to get the card at the time, must have fallen out of my bag)

im in the process of applying for a new passport which could take 6 weeks. anyone any advice as to if i could get this card without my passport? what would happen if i didnt have my resident card in time for the 3 months? the school says they wont pay me till i have the resident card, is this normal?

ive been looking all over the net for solutions but no luck, my school is useless, they wouldnt even tell me where the nearest police station was to report my passport missing.

Several issues.

You must get your ARC within 90 days of your entry on your E2.
If you do NOT have your passport back, go to immigration (before your 90 days are up) and use the receipt for the new passport as proof of it being ordered. You will still need to produce your medical and other related documents necessary for the ARC application. They will note that you have applied prior to your 90 day deadline and allow you time to get the new passport back for presentation.

Non payment of your salary by your school is illegal. END OF DISCUSSION.
You do NOT need an ARC to get paid.

When they are 10 days late paying your wages, contact the local labor office and file a complaint for late wages. That will wake them up.

The alternative is kiss the outstanding salary goodbye and just quit but this will leave you stuck in Korea with no money, no housing and no passport.

'SUP to you.
