Hey all -

I was thinking we could share information about good places to get health checks done for our visas. For the past couple of years I've been going to Seoul Medical Center near the COEX. The price is so-so (a little over 50k) and they speak enough English to get by.

Does anyone have a place they go that is cheaper? Maybe someplace that just does the required tests instead of an entire health check?

I went there (SMC) last year and plan on going there again this time around. I did my first check at the hospital in Hannam-dong. It was more expensive and they were trying to get me to come in for some additional tests, which I refused.

50K is better than so-so. That's very good as I paid 120K. It was 70K initially plus 50K more for the doctor examine my blood personally under his microscope. I went to the largest general hospital in my smallish city. My test screened for much more than HIV and drugs. According to my coordinator, I would have had to go much further afield about 2 hours ride to do it elsewhere.
