So what would I need to do/what hoops would I need to jump through in order to act or model in Korea for MONEY. I'm sure I could get consent from my employer, they would most likely be ecstatic if I had some gigs that got my face out there. They could then be like "Our English Teacher!" |
You would need to marry a Korean. |

ha. I don't have a contact for that either yet. I'm still sitting in Hollywood trying to figure out how to legally work in Korea without being a teacher. I'm a carpenter, by trade. I'd be an awful teacher. |

Anyone up for making movies non-professionally? Just for fun?
Chances are there's a least a dozen experienced media types here lurking... |

Good info about acting/modeling from everyone, thanks!
BTW, big question....
I'm half Korean/half White and my mother's side of the family all live in Korea right now. Does this mean I could get an F visa?
According to eslpark.com, that seems to be the case when I read their FAQ.
Reason why I'm asking is, of course, I would have a better chance to act in Korea with an F visa than with an E-2 visa. Any help, would be great! |

Yes, you can get an F4 visa.
You can do any job you want. Whether it be teaching, acting, modeling, or anything else. |

Thanks again for the info. Good stuff. |
Just use your stage name / alias for anything you do, if you're not concerned about building fame in your one year stint in Korea. You just want to get some experience and have some fun right?
My French roommates, who were exchange students (film majors) did an entire video for Korean pop star Bobby Kim, filming, editing, producing, etc, and there were no problems at all. Dunno if they did any acting though. Of course they did act in their own films that they produced while in Korea, but those were for school or experience. |

It's kinda funny that the Korean listing is " to play" but the foreigner listing just says ya gotta be a part time drug user |

I just found this thread and was wondering if anyone has any recent leads on work, or straight-up job offers? I'm waiting for an F-2 visa, so legality need be no concern. |
