How did you decide between the two programs?

I have a job offer and a contract with GEPIK (that I haven't sent back to them yet), but I'm thinking that I'd rather start in mid-August and might apply to EPIK instead.

Any info on the relative merits of either program would be greatly appreciated!!!

Korvia had a nice table on their site showing the benefits of EPIK and GEPIK side by side. I couldn't find it just now but you might.

I remember two things though. EPIK has these 1.3 million won entry and exit payments. According to a recruiter I talked to they give you this money no matter what your tickets (coming and going) cost. GEPIK, on the other hand, only reimburse for what you paid for your tickets (up to 1 million). This can go against you if for example, after your contract you decide to go to Thailand. A one way ticket to Thailand is only about 300 $ so they only pay you that (if you show them the ticket). If I had this problem myself in GEPIK, but I haven't been through EPIK.

Secondly, GEPIK gives 20 days holidays including weekends, which must be spread over 2 terms. So if you take a 2-week holiday in winter that counts as 12 days already. That leaves you with 8 days in summer, which is less than 2 weeks. I think EPIK is 21 WORKING days which means pretty much 2 weeks in summer and 2 weeks in winter.
