i have searched around these forums and noticed that many people have suggestions for good dentists, but not for good oral surgeons. has anyone had their wisdom teeth extracted at a Seoul oral surgeon's office? If so, could you recommend one for me? |

Most are damn good, so long as they can speak some English and use anesthetic regularly, no worries. |

well my previous surgeon wouldnt take it out about 4 years ago because it was too close to a nerve. obviously at this point it has grown out more, but still wouldn't want to risk having any old dentist try to pull it out and hit a nerve. |

I had a wisdom tooth extracted at Columbia Dental Clinic in Itaewon. The dentist was quite skillful, and gave me plenty of numbing medication. My tooth was in crooked so he had to break it into three pieces, so it took a bit longer than expected, but no complaints over all.
As another poster said, there's no way to avoid pain. The healing process sucks. I had to leave a piece of gauze in my mouth for 2 hours after the tooth was pulled.
IMO the most important thing to consider is how you take care of yourself once it's been pulled. That means no smoking or drinking, rinse after every meal, avoid hot drinks / food for the first few days. |

Hi there,
I recommend Paik Hospitals oral surgeons. Their surgeons routinely travel around the country and their English is fine as they mostly graduate from programs in the US. Had upper wisdoms extracted by them Christmas Day and New Year's Day 1999. |
