|
|
I have a BA, TEFL Cert, 8 years experience.
I just turned 40 but look like I'm 32-35, IMO.
Taught TOEFL, TOEIC, Teens, Adults, Childrens, and Super Tots.
Looking for a Hogwan job at about 25 hours per week.
I don't want all classes with kids.
Never taught in Korea before but I've been in East Asia for years, teaching.
When I contact recruiters what do I need to send?
I assume a photo.
Scan of degree
Scan of TEFL cert
Scan of previous letters from schools.
I want to work in Seoul.
I'll be back in the US to go to the Consulate interviews.
Thanks for any help. Any advice? I've been reading and searching this site a lot.
Thanks in Advance. |

| Most recruiter's sites will have all the info they require to start the process but usually they want you to fill out their application, a copy of your resume and your photo. Once they get a position for you, you will need several other documents for the visa process. |

Thanks, 710.
I'd like to start in September or October.
For Hogwans, I assume (and hope) that is OK. |

| If you are going for a private school that shouldn't be a problem... I am far from an expert in all this though, I am trying to teach for the first time myself. I am using a recruiter now, but wish I went with another one I found after. You should check out Ask Not-ETO. Even if you don't use them, they offer tons of helpful information on their site... |

Do you have time to change recruiters, 710?
I am going to use a couple to a few to get what I'm looking for, as suggested here on the forum. Thanks for the "ask Not-Eto" I'll check it out now. |

| The problem is, I'm trying for a public school position with GEPIK. If your application is submitted by more than one recruiter, it is rejected... With private schools, from what I have read, you should use as many recruiters as possible... Good luck! |

Yes, I'm not doing SMOE, GEPIK, or EPIK (as my plan for now).
I'm trying Hagwons.
Good luck to you, too. |
