|
|
I am in the 2nd year of my contract but will be leaving 4 months into my second year on 31st July. I thought my holiday would be pro-rata'd and that I would be able to take 1 week (there are no classes at school) before my official leaving date.
I thought that was in the contract but it is not as clear as I thought. My school said there was some doubt about that today. Is it possible to accrue holiday if the contract is to be cancelled?

From what happened to a friend of mine, who was with gepik awhile ago, you have to work at least 6 months of your contract to get your vacation days (half of it for the first 6months).
He began working for the school in early December and two weeks later was on winter vacation for a month. Long story short, he ended up leaving the school in April and it was determined that he had to pay back for the one month of vacation he took because he was not there for 6 months. |

The contract is pretty vague about this so I will try to get in touch with the co-ordinator again...
My school are also saying I may have to pay them 1,100,000 million for the bonus holiday I received on re-signing. This is stated in the contract and I am happy to pay it back, but with a discount based on working 33% of the following contract... |
