|
|
Hey guys,
I need to book a flight from Seoul to Busan for Thursday. As I haven't got a credit card, I was wondering if there are alternative payment methods such as Bank Transfer etc.?
Thanks |

Yeah, that's how most of the Korean Travel Agencies do it. I booked my flight home through Top Travel and paid by transfer. |

another alternative would be the ktx.
it takes 2.5 hours to go to busan from seoul.
taking into account that you would have to go to the airport, check in, board the plane, and do the same over again once youve landed in busan, id say the ktx is the better option.
cheaper and its faster (no travelling, apart from to seoul station, which can be conveniently reached from anywhere in seoul). |

If you have an internet banking account (with security certificate package),
on-line reservation/purchase directly from Air Busan is still an option.
You need to set up a log-in account, but you can do it without Korean
national ID and/or ARC number. (interface in Korean might be a small hassle)
On-line debit will settle the payment, but you might want to undertake the
process from an IE6 web browser in case your bank's authorisation system
functions only under ActiveX security programmes. |

Please try to avoid flying when you can take a train. We all need to take better care of the planet. Cheers. |

Probably don't need to reserve in advance as the flights won't sell out, unless you need to leave at a very a specific time. When I fly to Busan I usually just pay cash at the counter. Around 75K typically. |

The flights going to be leaving anyway, whether he is on it or not. If he does get the flight then he will be decreasing the carbon footprint of everyone on the plane. |

I second this. I went this way to Busan last month and it was much quicker than flying. |

I concur. Much more comfortable, and you can enjoy some great scenery on the way down. KTX is the way to go. |

I will say, Gimhae Airport (Busan) is a pain in the *** to get to/from. |

KTX is a far better option than flying.
First with the KTX you get to Busan Station (or another stop in Busan) and that sits on the subway line which in turn gives you access to Busan's key areas.
Flying means going to Gimhea, then taking a cab or bus all the way into Busan. As other said, Gimhea is a bit of a pain. |
