business registration from employer (copy)
Application

How far in advance can you renew an E2?

Mine was issued on 27 March 2010 and expiry date is 22Feb 2011 (one year from when I entered Korea)

Can I renew in late Dec? I'd like to go on vacation in Jan and Feb

UP to 60 days in advance.

The biggest problem will be getting the required stuff from your employer that far in advance.

Oki, thanks. HOpefully they'll do it that far in advance since vacations start mid Dec and we don't have to be back until March.

Are these the same requirements if you would like to renew your E2 with a different employer? or is this only for resigning with your current employer?

Re-signing (not resigning) with the same employer.

Changing employers by means of transfer requires a LOR from the original employer as well.

Changing employers without a LOR is the same as a new visa application (which is what it is).
