I'm curious if anyone has ever seen a Macintosh in a PC bang and if so, where? I prefer to use a Mac, but don't have a computer here. There are some things I would like to do that I can only do on a Mac and would be willing to go out of my way to sit down at one for a couple hours.

as a fellow mac user i sympathise. but no - i have never seen any. they are common in singapore and japan, but korea is backward in adopting real computers Wink

i fortunately have one of my own.

I don't want to go into the PC versus Mac debate as I was a former Mac user before, but what exactly can you do on a Mac that you can't do on a PC?

Also, in my experience I've had more bad experiences with PCs here in Korea(Korean ME/Korean XP/English XP) than with a Mac(OS before OS X).Anybody have the same experience? I guess I did open up the PC versus Mac can of worms.

yu can do the same stuff pretty much on eiether, the differnece is the hassle involved.

macs are transparent. yu can just get on with what yu wanna do. the computer does not get in your way like it does with a windoze box. i used windows for many years before i disovered mac. can;t go back.

viruses are virtually unheard of too. love that.

What do you mean by transparent? I know of transparent tape and I think Apple even made some Macs in transparnet schemes.

i mean they don't get in yr way. they simply don't have any problems... so computer use becomes a pleasure - yu are focussed on what yu want to do rather than messing with the damn machine!

Ok, in my experiences with both platforms, I agree that windows seems to bring on more hassles than my Mac did, but then why is Jacobbm looking for Macs if it's just a difference in OS temperment and not anything else?Is he just a die hard Mac fan?

It's Mac specific stuff. I can get by on most anything on a PC, but I use Apple's .Mac service which gives me an email address, website, etc.

Unfortunatley, the Homepage feature only works on Macs. So, I'm not able to upload my Korean photos.
