|
|
I heard form EPIK that it would be October before they take applications. I asked a recruiter for EPIK and she said August.
Someone got their wires crossed somewhere...
I am anxious because my girlfreind and I have a location in mind, and we want to get in the EPIK door as soon as they start taking applications, in order to secure our location.
Any ideas?
Thanks! |

what madness? i doubt you'll be able to apply in october for spring. recruiters and EPIK probably won't be taking applications until november/december. |

EPIK begins accepting spring-applications in October. But the actual school semester starts in March. Recruiters should accept apps during October, as far as I know (I was using eslplanet [Rowan], globalcampusjobs [Sophie], and eslstarter [Phil]).
GEPIK starts accepting spring-apps in November, but some recruiters won't accept apps until later (e.g., December, January).
Maybe things have changed, and Idk since I'm not looking into public schools anymore, but that info is straight from EPIK and the above mentioned recruiters. But, I stopped researching public schools around May (this year), but that's still really recent. So it should still be the same.
Anyway, you can find the info you want on their websites, and all over the internet. |

Hey there OP, don't have an answer for you, but i have a question. Are you and your girlfriend applying directly or through a recruiter? I ask cause my girlfriend and i were planning on applying for the spring semester, but heard unmarried couples housing is no longer available, so was wondering if you heard of some city or recruiter that almost guarantees close housing. I heard daegu worked for a couple this last spring, but didn't know if you had any more recent news. Thanks! |

Well, I think we will go straight through EPIK. We will have the single housing, but hopefully they can put us close to each other. I don't know about recruiters guaranteeing close housing. Korea Horizons, however, claim that if you get hired they can tell you the school and neighborhood you will be based in, before you come to Korea. Maybe that helps!
Good Luck! |

For those of you experienced people, what is the best way to go about applying while you're still in Korea? My husband and I are wanting to go public, and our contract isn't up until the end of November. Should we go through a recruiter still, or just go straight to EPIK? |

What recruiters?
Are they reliable?
Is EPIK itself or recruiters the way to go?
Advice please! |

If you look at the job section and scroll downa bit, within the last maybe 2-3 weeks some recruiters have posted for 2011. |
